Membership Criteria and Membership Fee
Membership Types
Ordinary Membership Provisional Membership Associate Membership Student Membership
Possess professional qualification in Social Work recognised by the Association. Possess professional qualification in Social Work recognised by the Association OR have passed examinations in Social Work recognised by the Association. Possess tertiary level qualifications recognised by the Association. Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents enrolled in a local or overseas professional Social Work course recognised by the Association; or
Have at least 1,000 hours of Social Work practice including field placements. Are engaged in Social Work practice. Are engaged in positions whose employment places them in close association with Social Workers within the social and/or health services. Non-Singapore Citizen enrolled in a local professional Social Work course, recognised by the Association in Singapore.
* For non-Singapore Citizen, you need to be currently residing and employed in Singapore to apply for the above types of Membership.
Membership Fees
Subscription Fee (per year):

Administrative Fee:
$20 N/A $20 N/A
* For existing SASW Members, administrative fee is waived for renewal or conversion.
* Subscription rates will be halved for applications submitted between October-March.
* For renewal, Members will be informed via their registered email at least one month prior to expiry of their membership. Membership will cease for Members who do not renew membership within one month of expiry.
* SASW membership does not in itself entitle one to employment in Singapore.
